About

At Franklinton Farms we will be celebrating Earth Day 2021 by building of our first Monarch Waystation at the farm. Not only are monarchs beautiful and awe inspiring in the migration journey, they also play an important role in our environment.  They are amazing pollinators and they provide population control for a number of plant and insect species by eating them.   Monarchs need our help to offset the loss of habitat, especially in urban areas.  We need to create, conserve, and protect the habitats for these iconic butterflies. We will spend the afternoon laying out beds and paths, and prepping the soil for planting. Please join us at the farm to build a garden that provides the resources necessary for monarchs to produce successive generations and sustain their migration.
