About
Thanks to Green Columbus, Appalachia Ohio Alliance will be planting 250 saplings on our Utzinger Bog property. This site combines historical significance and ecological rarity, giving participants a wonderful volunteer opportunity (in the outdoors) close to home (just 10 mins south of 270). Please plan to bring gloves, a shovel (if you have one), closed toe shoes, a snack & water. This activity will require light to medium intensity physical labor over muddy and uneven terrain. Unfortunately, this site is not ADA accessible.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
