About
Celebrate Earth Day by joining The Douglas Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the Bronzeville community on the Near Eastside. We want to extend an invitation to you, your family, and your work colleagues to an event that will kick off our growing season this year… Earth Day Columbus 2022. This year we are hosting Earth Day on Saturday, April 30th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm., at our Mamie Mack Community Garden site, located at 456 N. Garfield Ave.
We are asking volunteers to roll up their sleeves by helping us clear our site of trash, debris, weeds and cutting the grass to prepare for the growing season. This is a fantastic event for the entire family. Please bring gloves and a shovel and wear closed-toe shoes for safety if you have them. Please also wear your mask. We will have additional supplies on site. Volunteering spots are limited due to COVID.
