Help keep Green Lawn Cemetery green!
Volunteers are needed to help pick up litter, especially along the boundaries and entryway of Ohio's second largest cemetery. Green Lawn Cemetery - founded in 1848 - is a registered arboretum and part of an Audubon Important Bird Area. This impressive greenspace spans over 300 acres, featuring a remnant mix-oaked native forest, unique monuments, mausoleums, and the historic Huntington Chapel.
Time: 10:00am. A short orientation and safety briefing will be provided at that time.
Supplies Provided: trash bags, litter grabbers, gloves, a friendly leader.
Shoes: Please wear sturdy closed-toed shoes or boots for safety. No flip flops or sandals.
You Bring: A drink and sunscreen.
Where: Drive a short distance into the cemetery. Meet at the main cemetery office on your right.
