Beautification Project at Hubbard Mastery School

The students of Hubbard Mastery, located in the Short North, need your help in building a beautifying their school grounds! Our goal is to create a space in the schoolyard to support environmental exploration and real-life observation. 

Please dress appropriately, dress in layers and prepare for inclement weather, wear toe-covering boots/shoes, and/or items you don’t mind getting dirty. Work gloves will be provided, but please bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. Tools, such as rakes, shovels, weeders will be provided but limited, if you feel comfortable please bring your own garden tools to use the day of. 

As a thanks for your hard work, everyone will enjoy snacks, and a variety of other goodies from Green Columbus! 

Pollinator Garden Assistance:
We need people to weed/remove invasive plants, plant seedlings, and build bee hotels in the pollinator garden.

Outdoor Classroom Assistance: 
We need help with staining the outdoor classroom picnic tables.

General Beautification:
We need help with removing litter on site and in the surrounding neighborhood, raking up debris and leaves, removing weeds, mulching, planting flowers and trees, and painting recess pavement games, etc.
