Weinland Park - Earth Day Community Service Event

Join us in Making Weinland Park Green for Earth Day. Volunteer teams kick off at 1PM. 

Weinland Park Sites:  
  • 4th Street Farms @ 1377 N. 4th Street
  • 5th Street Bird Sanctuary - 1/2 block north of 8th Ave on 5th Street 
  • Godman Guild - 303 E. Sixth Ave
  • Weinland Park Berry Patch - corner of 11th Ave & 4th Street 
  • 5th Street Wildflower Gardens - corner of 8th Ave and 5th Street 
  • Weinland Park - Park behind the school
  • Scatter sites throughout our small walkable neighborhood
Tips: 
  • Please consider walking, biking or riding the bus to support the efforts of Earth Day. If you must drive, there is parking at Godman Guild.
  • Tools will be provided. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. 
  • Dress to get dirty and do real work. For safety, choose work boots, long pants and long-sleeved brightly-colored shirts.
  • Volunteers may go directly to their site of choice, if known. Otherwise, please check in at Godman Guild to collect tools and be assigned a volunteer site. 
  • Volunteer Central, including bathroom facilities, will be at Godman Guild located at 303 E. Sixth Ave. 
  • All sites are located within a few short blocks of each other.

Please walk, bike or take the bus - in the spirit of Earth Day. If you must drive, there is street parking at the scatter sites or surface lot at Godman Guild - located at 303 E. Sixth Ave. 43201.
