Help keep Green Lawn Cemetery clean, green and dignified!
Volunteers are needed to help pick up litter, especially along the boundaries and approach to Ohio's 2nd largest cemetery. We are not only a busy cemetery, but an arboretum and part of the Scioto River-Greenlawn Important Bird Area.
At 10:00 am: An orientation & short safety briefing will be provided.
PROVIDED: Trash bags, litter grabbers, gloves, safety vests, a friendly and knowledgeable leader.
SAFETY: Please wear sturdy closed-toed shoes or boots. No flip flops or sandals.
YOU BRING: A drink and sunscreen? Dress for the weather.
Opened in 1849, Green Lawn Cemetery is a nondenominational cemetery and arboretum that continues to serve people from all faiths and all walks of life. Green Lawn’s historic grounds span over 300 acres and feature unique statuary, majestic old growth trees, and the Tiffany decorated Huntington Chapel. Green Lawn Cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Enter the cemetery at the west end of Greenlawn Avenue, drive through the traffic circle. Meet across the street from the stone cemetery office in front of the mausoleums buildings. Look for signs to park.
